The original plan for this shoot was to simply film the NASCAR Army car on a runway using our ML63 camera car, but while in pre-production on the airbase, we began chatting with one of the pilots there. After a few minutes of chatting he asked, "Would you guys want me to fly the Apache helicopter above the cars while you film?" After our team immediately and emphatically responded with a “YES!”, he got approval from the base commander. The end result was a completely sick shot of the Apache helicopter flying above the fleet of cars as they drove down the runway, a piece we are more than proud of.
